Nagatoro "hike" & river cruise
14 June 2008
We went to Nagatoro, a tourist place north-west of Tokyo. It is famous for its nature, especially the rock formations along the river. We started out with a short walk up the hill (can't really call it a hike to the top of the mountain)
there were some funny trees
and a nice view
back down we took the river cruise. There was also an option of kayakking or rafting, but it wwould take more time and money and in retrospect, I guess the waters were not really wild enough (only at one place) that it would have been a really good ride.
Then we went to the nature museum (with lots of fossils) and walked back to the station along the river.
